Annual Florida Trikke Fun Ride with Gildo Beleski, October
7, 2007
-
We're really excited and getting
geared up for the 2nd Annual Florida Trikke Fun Ride.
We have confirmation that Gildo Beleski, inventor of the
Trikke, will be here to help us support this fantastic
event. Gildo is a true inspiration to talk to and to Trikke
ride with. Gildo is the fit guy you see Trikke riding
in most of the Trikke video's like "Sidewalk Riding",
"Hill Climbing" and "Fitness 2". It's
really amazing to see him ride the Trikke on the rear
wheels only. If nothing else inspires you to come to this
event I promise you that meeting Gildo will make it well
worth it! Unfortunately, due to previous commitment John
Simpson (President, Trikke Tech, Inc) will not be able
to attend.
However, Gildo will be bringing another Trikke Tech representative
with him and I'm sure we won't be disappointed!
Last
year at the 1st Annual Florida Trikke Fun Ride we had
a fantastic turnout of 28 Trikke riders. Everyone truly
enjoyed the event and being able to meet and ride with
avid Trikke riders like themselves. It also gives enthusiasts
an opportunity to show-off their skills, gadgets and accessories
they've come up with for their Trikke and Trikke riding.
It gave us a good look at what Trikke riders want and
expect from their Fun-Fitness Machines.
About
the Ride: The Florida Trikke Fun Ride is held
in conjunction with the Annual Rails to Trails of the
Withlacoochie Bike Ride. Last year there were over 1500
registered cyclists in the event and the event organizers
are expecting this year to far exceed that. The ride is
a "no-mass start" meaning that you can start
anytime between 7am and 9am. Although there is no minimum
distance required they are registering cyclists for a
100 mile ride where each will get special r ecognition
for their accomplishment. For our Trikke riders we are
planning a 30 mile ride but no minimum distance is required.
I'm going to try and get the Trikke riders recognized
by the event for 30 miles or more on a Trikke accomplishment.
Last year we had a 9 year old (Dustin Edwards) ride the
30 miles with us on a T6, what an accomplishment and inspiration!
Just as last year we will be providing "Rock'N Miles
Club" decals for your distance rode. If you want
to ride further you're more than welcome. We had 1 rider
do 50 miles and a couple (Tom and Glenda) that rode 60
miles. Glenda rode in a long sun-dress with sandals. If
you only want to ride a short distance then be sure to
bring a lawn chair so you can hang out at the Trikke booth.
There
are 5 SAG's (Stop And Go's) along the route with the last
one at 15 miles south, just beyond the Itsachatta General
Store. Trikke Tampa is a top-sponsor of the Rails to Trails
event and will be sponsoring one of the SAG's. A SAG is
a rest-stop for all participants to stop and take a break,
get free water, juice and a snack to help keep the calories
in you for your ride.

The
only registration fee required is with the Rails to Trails
organization. Trikke Tampa will NOT require an additional
registration fee for our Trikke riders. All Rails to Trails
registration fees go back into the trail to help keep
it one of the best trails systems in the country! With
your registration and our top-sponsor placement we're
also showing that we (the Trikke community) also support
Rails to Trails programs. With your paid pre-registration
with the Rails to Trails of the Withlacoochie you will
receive a free t-shirt, entry into the prize drawings,
free snacks and beverages at the SAG's. They will also
be providing a continental breakfast and lunch for all
registered participants. All Rails to Trails support ends
at 3pm.
Trikke Tech, Inc and Trikke Tampa will be providing FREE
Trikke t-shirts and other freebies to ALL Trikke riders
that bring their Trikke and sign-in at our booth. We're
also donating a Trikke to the Rails to Trails prize drawing.
Several vendors and sponsors are donating high-end items
as prize giveaways to all pre-registered Rails to Trails
participants. Prizes last year consisted of high-end bicycles,
accessories and of course, a Trikke T8-Air. Prize winners
names are drawn the night before and when you check in
for the event the day of the ride you'll be able to look
at a list to see if you've won any prizes. We will be
giving away several accessory items and possibly a new
Trikke in a drawing specifically for Trikke riders that
register at our booth.
Remember, we're not requiring any additional registration
fees. Your only registration fee is with the Rails to
Trails.

can add you to our list of participants. You're more than
welcome to call us to inform us of your intent to participate.
If you're fairly certain you will attend but you don't
want to register with the Rails to Trails at this time
we ask that you go ahead and complete our registration

Let's
make the 2nd Annual Florida Trikke Fun Ride one of the
best Trikke events ever. It's really lots of fun Trikke
riding with others, seeing how they ride, showing off
your riding abilities and most importantly having fun
on your fitness machine! We hope to keep this an annual
event and maybe one day, if we get enough participation,
we can have our Fun Ride independent of other bike ride
events. Your participation and support is very important
to the Trikke community. You'll also have a rare opportunity
to talk to it's inventor with ideas and thoughts about
this fabulous machine. Please show your support by registering
and participating in the 2nd Annual Florida Trikke Fun
Ride!

Tampa Group Rides
Our group
rides have been going very well. We're averaging
over 10 riders at each of our rides. It's great
when we can get together in such groups and keep Trikke
owners motivated by riding with others. Check out

Maintenance Note: Don't forget, you must add
air to your T8-Air or T12 Roadster about every 10 to 14
days. It's imperative that your tires are at 80psi!
Happy
Carving and we hope to see you at our Trikke events!

IMPORTANT
NOTE: All riders ride at their own risk.
It is recommended that you wear a helmet and any other
standard safety gear. It's the law that riders 16
and under wear a helmet. TRIKKE Tampa is not responsible
for any riders in anyway. TRIKKE Tampa is simply
trying to encourage Trikke owners to get out and enjoy
their fun fitness machine.
